Huron County Newsletter
Week of January 7th to 13th, 2024
Good day,
Thank you for taking the time to include us in your day today. This week we have stories ranging from conservation award nominations, to the county budget, to the annual Alice Munro Festival, and more.
We can’t currently post our stories directly to Facebook due to the Online News Act (Bill C-18). We also can’t post a direct link from our Facebook page to our website. However, we do post screenshots of headlines to our Facebook page. Posting the headlines allows community members to have a place to react to the stories, and have productive conversations about what’s happening in the county. If you would like to have your say, head over to the Facebook page, give us a follow, and don’t be afraid to speak up about things and people in the community that you appreciate, changes you would like to see, or anything else. Please keep it respectful.
We are excited and encouraged by the growth we’ve seen in the last couple weeks and we hope to keep the momentum moving in this direction. If you haven’t already, consider checking out our Support Us page, and see how you can help keep truly local news alive in your community. Most of the ways to help don’t involve any money. As an example, the absolute best way you can help us is to check the website regularly.
And finally, we have added a Helpful Links page to the website. Some of the links include a county job board, tourism information, contact information for county offices, official websites for all municipalities, and the official Huron County website. Please let us know if there are any helpful links that you feel should be added to the list.
Thanks again for checking out the Huron County Newsletter, and have a great week!
