Fatal Collision In Huron East

A two-vehicle collision in the Municipality of Huron East has claimed the life of a Central Huron resident.

Just after 1:35 p.m. on Wednesday, January 01, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police, Huron County Paramedic Services and North Huron Fire Department responded to a collision on Blyth Road near Hensall Road in Huron East.

Hospital's Food Drive Helps to Fight Hunger

Staff at the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich conducted a special holiday food drive this Christmas

The food drive was to assist the Goderich St. Vincent de Paul food bank. Recognizing the rising costs of necessities, staff at the Hospital came together to donate essential items such as paper products, canned vegetables and school snacks. Grandparent Scam In Huron East

Huron County Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a recent scam that took advantage of an elderly Huron East resident.

On December 14, 2024, Huron OPP received a report of a fraud that had taken place over a two-day period on December 13/14, 2024.

Victim Loses $320,000 In Fraud - Computer "Security Breach" Scam on the Rise

The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police has received multiple reports of computer pop-up scams lately and unfortunately a Perth County resident has lost a significant amount of money after they received a notification on their computer indicating there was a security breach of their personal information.
