Huron-Perth Catholic Students Demonstrate Success On Provincial Assessments

Students of the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board (HPCDSB) continue to have one of the highest participation rates in the province on provincial assessments.

Serious Assault And Robbery In Wingham - Two Suspects Arrested And Charged
Huron County Ontario Provincial Police Major Crime Unit is investigating a serious assault and robbery that took place on Minnie Street in the Town of Wingham, Township of North Huron on Saturday October 5th of this year.

The Four County Labour Market Planning Board has just recently launched an EmployerOne Survey for employers in Grey, Bruce Huron and Perth counties.

Community Safety And Well-Being For Huron To Launch Social Media Campaign Bringing Awareness To Housing Stability And Homelessness

A new social media campaign has being launched in Huron County to bring awareness and educate the community about Housing Stability & Homelessness.
This campaign is part of the Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) for Huron Plan that was established by the lower-tier municipalities in 2021. Stacy Jeffrey is the Community Relations Manager with the Municipality of South Huron, as well as the Co-Chair of the Municipal Working Group for the Community Safety And Well-Being for Huron. Goderich Council Asks For More Information Before Approving Funding for Menesetung Bridge

Goderich has asked for $150,000 to help with the restoration of the Menesetung Bridge but council has deferred a decision until their meeting on the 21st of October.
Mayor Trevor Bazinet says council wants more information about the conditions of the government grant and who else has committed funds before they make a final commitment. Bazinet adds, council is going to support the project, they just want more information about how much the town is eventually going to be asked for and where that money will come from.

Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson Presented Cheques To Several Recipients in Huron County This Week

This past Monday, Huron-Bruce MPP presented a total of $10.86 million in provincial contributions that will support local initiatives in Bayfield, Goderich, Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh and the County of Huron.
The Bayfield River Valley Trail Association received $107,900 from the Ontario Community Environment Fund in support of their efforts to install erosion protection and improve fish habitat, so people at home and from afar can enjoy the amazing trail along the edge of the Bayfield River Flats.

Eco Exeter Environmental Group Looking For Vendors To Help Them With Community Market

The Eco Exeter Environmental Team is hosting a Community Market at the end of November so they're looking for vendors to take part in the market.
Eco Exeter founder and teacher at the South Huron District High School, Amanda Keller, says they're looking for vendors who sell locally-produced items or locally-made items or any eco-friendly vendors or businesses. $10,000 Donation From Hopper Family Supports CT Scanner At Wingham Hospital

Wayne and Linda Hopper of Brussels have donated $10,000 to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation’s Caring Together campaign raising funds for a new CT scanner.
Wayne has benefitted from the care at the hospital in the past, including needing to travel for a CT scan. First Annual Keys For Community - Another New Way To Give To United Way

United Way Perth-Huron employees spend hours on the road, travelling from community to community, learning about important issues affecting the region.
It's not surprising that the organization is introducing Keys for Community this year as another way for people across the region to support the United Way.
